Register a trademark
- Use of the symbol ®
Once the trademark has been filed with the competent trademark and patent office, the wording can be added "registered trademark". The use of the symbol ® used before registration is sanctioned pursuant to Art. 127.

2. Anyone who places words or indications on an object that do not correspond to the truth, tending to make people believe that the object is protected by a patent, design or model or topography or to make it appear that the trademark that distinguishes it has been registered, is punishable with an administrative fine ranging from 51.65 euros to 516.46 euros.
While waiting for the actual registration, however, it is possible to add the registered trademark D or the symbol to the trademark. ™ (from the English Trade Mark).
To demonstrate the registration of a Community trademark as a symbol I use ?
There is no legal basis for its use. However, the use of symbols ® or ™ (from the English Trade Mark) remains at the discretion of the trademark owner.
